April 2022 Update

April 2022 Update

We have been in Mexico for close to 2 months now and so much has happened. Thanks for being a part of this journey. God is doing a lot in us and through us. We hope you had a meaningful Easter. Here is our April update Praise God. We have just moved into a 2 bedroom apartment near the base. It’s across the road from the beach and the park. It’s a 4 minute walk to the base. We feel so happy that God has allowed us to move closer to the base which enables us to walk backwards and forwards freely with...

Semana Santa

Semana Santa

Last week we learnt a new spanish phrase. Semana Santa. I had seen the word Semana before. While working in the kitchen at YWAM Mazatlan I had seen it come up a lot. It's the Spanish word for week. March 2022 Update

Hola from Mexico. We have now been in Mexico just a bit over five weeks and it has been a massive transition as we adjust to a new city, culture and ministry. Wheels on the Ground

Wheels on the Ground

The count down and the beginning of the next chapter is approaching as the wheels eat up the runway and come to a stop. My seat is right at the back of the plane and eventually I have a chance to disembark. The warmth of the air greets me as I step onto the gang way. The smell, the sounds, the people around me. Everything is so different, right from...

End Bible Poverty

End Bible Poverty

One morning in Mexico (in 2016) we gathered for worship and prayer. Then one of the leaders began to share the vision to personally hand a bible to every household in Mazatlan, (part of the “end bible poverty” project, begun my Loren Cunningham the founder of YWAM.) To us here in Australia, most houses might have at least one bible if not five. A number of different translations, perhaps with fonts of different sizes and study notes on the side. I have read of three significant men in my life regarding the handing out of bibles, risking their lives in...
